Discover the Admissions Process in our PK-12 Christian School

As a parent, you recognize that weighing your options and finding the right school for your child isn’t an easy task. There are a lot of things to consider.

  • First, you want a place that teaches biblical values — one that partners with your family and the church to build up your child’s devotion to Jesus Christ.
  • Second, you’re looking for a strong academic program that will set the foundations for today and the future.
  • Third, you want a school that provides a safe and secure environment for your children to learn.
  • Lastly, you’re searching for a caring community eager to become part of your family’s story.

At Plumstead Christian School, that’s what we strive for! As a PK-12 private Christian school in Bucks County, PA, also serving families in Montgomery County, Hunterdon County in NJ, and other surrounding communities, our goal is to instill faith, virtue, and knowledge in our students, preparing them to live meaningful, Christ-centered lives. We invite you to learn more about the admissions process at PCS.

The PCS Community has become part of a much bigger family to us, and we are forever grateful!”

Admissions Criteria

Whether you heard about us from a friend, a PCS family, your church, or an online search, we are so glad you are here! As you prayerfully consider applying to PCS, our admissions criteria* include:

  • One parent or guardian must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ, agree with our school’s statement of faith, and provide a written testimony.
  • Students and at least one parent must currently attend and be involved in a Christ-centered church, showing a sustained commitment to a local church. A pastor recommendation form is required.
  • Parents must agree to support and comply with the philosophy, statement of faith, policies, and practices of PCS.

*Note: Evergreen Preschool, a ministry of Plumstead Christian School, located off-site, is an open-enrollment preschool and does not follow the same admissions requirements as above. Contact us for more information at (215) 766-8073 or admissions@plumsteadchristian.org.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Answers to your admissions inquiries

At what stage do I apply for Variable Tuition?

The Variable Tuition form is separate from the admissions application, but we encourage families to apply as early as possible. You may start applying for Variable Tuition once you’ve started the admissions application and have visited the school.

How is your admissions process different from public schools?

PCS is different in the sense that families who apply undergo the admissions process and receive an acceptance letter before taking the next step to enroll. The decision to apply is not the same as enrollment. Enrollment is the succeeding step once an acceptance letter is received.

Are there testing requirements for students?

There is admissions testing for incoming kindergarten and grade 1 students, and for other grade levels if necessary. All admissions testing requires a $60 fee.

Do all parents and/or students have an interview?

We often ask parents for interviews if necessary to get to know their families better or obtain helpful information during the admissions process. Students may also be interviewed if needed, but this only applies to incoming middle or upper school levels.

I want to learn more about PCS before applying. Where can I get information?

You may start by learning about PCS’ academic offerings, mission and vision, as well as the fine arts and athletic opportunities available to your child. If you’re ready, you may start to schedule your personal tour by booking a tour directly or filling out a form for admissions.
