Dr. Ben Carson on Faith and Education

Dr. Ben Carson shared his moving personal story of growing up in the projects with a mother who, despite her own illiteracy, challenged her boys to become readers. He inspired the large crowd gathered in the Loren Rhine Memorial Gymnasium to put God first and to strive for excellence in everything we do. He moved the crowd with his humility, knowledge, and humor. His speech was followed by a moderated question and answer session.

Mr. Richard “Dick” Millham, an alumni parent and alumni grandparent, was honored as the honorary founder for his years of faithful board service and for his generosity to the school.
