The Google Form to submit email addresses is now live! Please submit only one form per family but be sure to list each student at PCS. The form is linked below and is also in the PCC.
When submitting email addresses, please format with Sponsor Name, Sponsor Email and add a comma in between each entry. Example: Alison Cabello, email@example.com, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Fitzpatrick, firstname.lastname@example.org, Terri and Mark Miquel, email@example.com,
CREATE A FUNDRAISER PAGE
Creating a personalized fundraising page is super easy and the most impactful way to reach out to potential sponsors. A template is already set up with some of the details filled in but adding your own pictures and PCS story will go a long way! Use the attached tutorial to set up a fundraiser page and customize it for your family.
Remember, the Race for Ed is designed to be the students gift to the annual fund-the students should be a big part of this process! Talk together as a family about what your child loves about PCS. Younger students may want to color a picture or write a few sentences about the Race (templates found on our website). Older students can write their own PCS story on the fundraiser page or create a short video to share. The fundraiser page is a great tool for students to continue to be involved in The Race for Education.
Share your fundraiser anyway you feel comfortable! You can send direct emails to friends and family with your fundraiser link (even if you already submitted those email addresses to the campaign), share it on your social media, or even set up a QR code! Families are encouraged to begin sharing their fundraising pages immediately to get a head start on the Race! An official email will be sent to potential sponsors on October 5th.
2020 RACE FOR EDUCATION
What is the Race? The Race for Education is our students’ collective gift to the annual fund, The Fund for Plumstead. Students will participate in a fun, athletic activity while ultimately helping the school. Teachers can also raise support for their own classrooms.
How does the Race work? Families supply email addresses of friends, relatives, business associates, neighbors, etc who might be interested in sponsoring a student as he/she runs The Race for Education. Families may also choose to create a fundraiser page as part of the GoFundMe Charity campaign where donations will be collected.
What is the goal? Our overall goal is to raise over $25,000 to help fund our Tuition Assistance Program and our student-life activities. The goal of the students is to have 100% participation in their grade level for submitting email addresses for the campaign and then giving their best during the Race.
How can I help? Pray, support a child and/or teacher, and volunteer the day of the race! Sharing the GoFundMe Charity campaign on social media is another great way to reach potential sponsors beyond the initial email invitation as well!
